More than 30 businesses and organisations across various sectors have been honoured at the 2nd Northern Ghana Business Merit Awards for their outstanding contributions to the region’s socio-economic growth and development.

The ceremony, held in Tamale, recognised companies that have demonstrated excellence in job creation, innovation, sustainability, and community impact. Among the awardees were enterprises in agriculture, finance, energy, education, and technology — all celebrated for advancing local development and improving livelihoods.

Organisers of the event, the Northern Excellence Foundation, stated that the awards aim to highlight the economic potential of Northern Ghana and encourage businesses to invest in inclusive and sustainable practices. Dignitaries from the business community and local government attended the event, praising the honourees for their resilience and commitment to regional progress.
