Stonebwoy has once again demonstrated his prowess in the music industry by clinching the Artiste of the Year award at the 25th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
This marks the second time the “Into the Future” hitmaker has taken home this prestigious title, having first won it in 2015. At the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) last night, Stonebwoy emerged victorious over strong contenders including King Promise, gospel singer Nacee, rapper Sarkodie, Kuami Eugene, and Black Sherif.
Stonebwoy did not only win the coveted Artiste of the Year but also dominated the night with six awards in total. His accolades included:
- Best International Collaboration for “Manodzi” featuring Angelique Kidjo
- Songwriter of the Year
- Record of the Year
- Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year
- Album/EP of the Year
Stonebwoy now joins the elite ranks of Sarkodie and VIP, who have each won the ultimate TGMA prize twice. Sarkodie secured the title in 2010 and 2012.

The night also celebrated other winners such as King Paluta, Olive The Boy, Kofi Karkari, Queendalyn Yurglee, Kuami Eugene, Sarkodie, Nacee, Amerado, and Black Sherif.
The event was enlivened by performances from top musicians including Efya, King Paluta, Kuami Eugene, Amerado, and Amakye Dede, who was honored with the Lifetime Achievement award.
