Expressing discontent with the performance of certain government appointees, Justin Frimpong Kodua, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has raised concerns about the potential sabotage of the party’s electoral gains in the upcoming 2024 general elections. Mr. Koduah is urging non-performing officials to resign and is appealing to the President for a government reshuffle.
During the party’s Thanksgiving Service at its headquarters in Accra, Mr. Kodua stated, “If you’re a CEO, deputy, MMDCE, and you assess and realize you’re tired, step down. Don’t sabotage the party. It is time for a reshuffle in governance. I will plead with the President – I know there have been talks – it is time for changes within the government.”
He emphasized the need for changes in the government and expressed the belief that new appointments would contribute to the party’s ability to retain power in the next election. The event, attended by top party functionaries including President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, provided a platform for these sentiments to be shared.
