On Friday, July 15, 2023, the government official obtained his nomination form at the party office in the constituency, accompanied by party executives.

During a gathering of residents who had gathered to show their support, the accomplished businessman expressed his commitment to transform the community and empower its people. He outlined his vision to attract businesses to the area and enhance the livelihoods of the residents.

Hon. Mark Okraku-Mantey’s nomination form pickup signifies his determination to vie for the Ayensuano seat in order to serve the constituents under the NPP banner.

Hon. Okraku-Mantey will come up against former MP of the area, Hon. Samuel Ayeh-Paye, for the parliamentary primary if both successfully file and are approved by the party.

The New Democratic Congress (NDC) clinched the seat from the ruling party in the 2020 elections after Hon. Teddy Nana Yaw Addi beat Hon. Samuel Ayeh-Paye.

All eyes will be on Ayensuano to see if Hon. Okraku-Mantey’s inclusion will help win the seat back for the governing party.
