Ghanaian Defender Alexander Djiku Joins Fenerbahçe on Three-Year Deal

Alexander Djiku, the Ghanaian defender, has completed a move to Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahçe, signing a three-year contract. The 28-year-old center-back, who recently left French Ligue 1 side Strasbourg, joined The Yellow Canaries on a free transfer. The deal also includes an option for a one-year extension.

Djiku’s departure from Strasbourg came after the expiration of his contract at the conclusion of the 2022/23 season. Fenerbahçe officially announced the signing on Monday through a statement on their website. The club expressed their warm welcome to Djiku and expressed their hopes for success and triumphs with the team.

During his time at Strasbourg, Djiku made 127 appearances over four years, contributing four goals and three assists. He played a pivotal role in helping the club avoid relegation from the French Ligue 1 last season. Now, he looks forward to starting a new chapter in his career with Fenerbahçe, aiming to contribute to their future victories and championships.
